Contact Lenses: What You Need to Know

It's a known fact that contact lenses are the preferred means of vision correction because of their superiority to glasses.

An ideal way of examining your contacts is to let them rest on your index finger and look them over. Once you finish inspecting that side, check the other side by gently turning it over in the palm of your hand. Do this one contact lens at a time before you put them on. Always make inspection a part of your daily routine if you wear contacts.

Of course, after the inspection comes the cleaning part--place a few drops of solution in the palm of your hand and gently rub your contact around it. You should do this after you have inspected them, which will keep them clean and remove any dirt or debris as well. Cleaning your contacts on a regular basis will also help prevent you from getting an eye infection.

Whether you use soft or hard contacts, it's essential to clean them regularly and examine them for dirt, tears, or other defects. Contacts are easily torn and damaged, and inspecting them thoroughly is a sure way to catch any defect, because you can just simply replace it with a new one before it causes any damage to your eyes. As long as you take proper care of them, contact lenses are indeed a great investment if you need vision correction.
